After working in a corporate salon for nearly a decade, I decided to take a leap of faith and open Salon Bonita in 2014. I had the goal of offering a friendly, fun and honest way of doing business.  My passion for hair comes from the desire to make people feel good about themselves by tailoring cuts and colors to bring out the best features in every client.  I am truly proud of the path Salon Bonita has taken and look forward to what’s coming.  Outside of the salon I love spending time with my husband and two beautiful daughters.

I’ve been in the hair industry since 2010 and have been at Salon Bonita since we opened in 2014.  I have many passions in life. One being art, which is why I love this industry.  Each person that sits in my chair is a new canvas and I feel blessed I have the opportunity to listen to other peoples stories and make them feel beautiful. Nothing excites me more than being challenged, so bring it on!

I’ve always wanted a career that I can be myself and help others.  I love this industry because I get the opportunity to meet new people and constantly learn.  One of my favorite things is teaching my guests how to feel confident styling their hair at home. Outside of the salon I enjoy spending time with family and reading.

After staying home with my children, and my youngest starting school, it was time to start a career in what I love. So, I went to cosmetology school and started my career as a cosmetologist. After being in the salon for a few years, I decided to further my education and become an educator. I taught cosmetology for eight years before deciding to get back behind the chair full time at Salon Bonita. I love seeing a vision with my clients and creating it, making them look and feel their best. When I’m not doing hair, you’ll find me enjoying life with my husband, my three children and our dog.

I always loved playing with hair.  I gave my first haircut to my American Girl doll, Samantha.  Her new look was a chic French bob and 8 year old me thought she looked fabulous!  Now, I love being able to help people feel confident, beautiful, and authentically themselves.  Hair coloring services are my favorite, especially unicorn + vivid hair.  Some of my favorite non hair related things include hanging with my dog and friends, watching t.v., Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli films, Korean food, oat milk lattes, and like Dumbledore, a good pair of socks.

After growing up very tomboy, it was kind of a shock when I told my family that I had decided to go to hair school.  I graduated in October of 2022 and don’t plan on looking back anytime soon!  I love this industry because of the creativity it allows me to have.  I also love having the ability to help people express themselves in whatever way they choose.  When I’m not doing hair you can find me hanging out with friends or just hanging out at home.

Growing up, I always knew I’d be in a career that surrounds art in some form.  I joined cosmetology school on a whim after being a manager at a local coffee shop and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made.  I love to make people feel beautiful within.  Other things I enjoy outside of hair are gaming, music (2000’s emo if we’re being specific) and spending time with my friends and my orange kitty.
